来源：张宗宪旧藏说明：此臂搁用留青技法在竹之青筠处雕刻，刻绘嶙峋山石间偶现一亭台楼阁，人物三两于洞石梧桐下雅集，或于远处河边浅滩游耍嬉戏，或在小桥之上举目远眺。上部留白处刻“梧荫读书”四字，整幅作品工谨绚丽，融诗、书、画、印于一体，颇为难得。该臂搁刻意追摹文人画意趣与界画纤巧细腻笔致，画面清雅、恬静，且讲究诗书画印的完美结合。画面尽显竹肌的留白处，上成无际蓝天，下成江河碧水，构图完美，独步一时。留青一法乃取竹材之筠，刻纹为饰，剔除纹外之筠，留竹肌为地。竹筠之纹饰，约略高于竹肌。竹筠为竹材之肤表，色杏黄，年久则显蜜蜡黄。竹肌呈刷丝纹，愈久色愈深，渐近琥珀色。
