|百宝嵌是在同一件器物上有选择性地镶嵌多种经过加工的珍贵材料，从而达到突出构图主题和强化装饰效果的目的，该工艺出现于明代，在螺钿镶嵌工艺的基础上，加入宝石、象牙、珊瑚以及玉石等材料形成的镶嵌工艺。此盒为木胎，银锭式，随形圈足。通体以黑漆为地，以银锭形状制作器物应始自明嘉靖朝。为乾隆仿古，盒面之上百宝嵌香草龙纹，两条香草龙口衔如意灵芝，两龙四周饰缠枝莲纹为地。此盒用料考究，作工精湛，造型新奇。色彩浓艳瑰丽。技法复杂，做工巧妙。为清乾隆百宝嵌盒精品。
