Worked from a single boulder, the bowl rising from a ring foot to a straight rim, the body elaborately carved with seven lotus petal shaped panel enclosing a seated Amitabha buddha on lotus throne, the domed cover finely carved in shallow relief with the seven of the eight auspicious buddhist motif bajixiang, all below the umbrella-form knop resembling the Dharma wheel, the stone is of even smooth polished white tone with slight russet inclusions.
