粉彩碗一对，器形周正，碗心饰荷花，外壁通景绘荷塘鸳鸯图，荷叶田田，各色荷花争相盛放，一只鸳鸯逐波水面，另只飞于空中，似正归巢，画面描绘生动，笔法洒脱，施彩鲜艳亮丽，局部以金彩点缀，属于同类器中较为精细者。
荷塘鸳鸯图为瓷器常见的装饰纹样，荷与“和”同音，根茎为藕，与“偶”谐音，搭配象征爱情始终不渝的鸳鸯组合成纹饰，寓有和和美美、婚姻幸福的吉祥意义。
