鼻烟壶是中西文化相结合的产物，16 世纪后传入中国东北地区。最早的制作材料主要以金属、玉及骨角材料为主，随着鼻烟壶被更多的人接受，其制作材料又得到了丰富，出现了以紫砂制作而成的鼻烟壶。此件烟壶束颈溜肩，弧壁圈足，饰以蓝釉。腹身开光绘是宠物嬉戏图，草木青葱，山石层叠，笔简意足，顿觉远离都市尘嚣之感。器身造型规整，形制端庄，既美观又实用。虽皆在方寸之地，却丝毫不影响画面的表现，足见作者高超之绘画功力。品相完整，釉水光润，是一件不可多得指尖把玩之品。
