此对碗撇口，深腹，圈足，底刻“大清乾隆年制”六字双行楷书款，造型简洁规整。玉质古朴温润，有沁。整体光素无纹饰，口沿起线规矩，足部刀工简洁有力，抛光精细，胎体薄厚均匀，工艺精良，应为宫廷之器。清代至乾隆时期，宫廷已储有大量玉器，且使用范围非常广泛，涉及种类亦甚繁多，宫廷日用器便是其中的一大类。档案中记载：“乾隆十八年四月，太监胡世杰传旨，着德日常姚宗仁在银库玉石中挑选足做玉碗，桌木各一百件之玉呈览。钦此。”而此碗之仿古玉形式者尤为少有，又成对出现，实为难得。来源：1995年旧金山邦瀚斯
