Description: A CHINESE CARVED JADE ‘GOOSE’ BOX AND COVER. Qing Dynasty, 19th Century. The bird carved and pierced as a box and cover, to depict a bird standing with the head turned back, a spray of lingzhi fungus in the mouth extending around the body and forming handles on either side suspending hanging rings, the tall feet encircled by further scrolling lingzhi fungus, wood stand, 15.5cm H.
