Provenance: from the collection of Charles Peregrine Teesdale (1824 – 1887); thence by descent to the present owner. 丁貺(傳) 山石花鳥圖 設色絹本 鏡框 鈐印:「□□鑑賞」 Charles Peregrine Teesdale (1824 - 1887) was Captain in the 83rd Regiment and was appointed ADC to the Governor of Hong Kong. He was in Major with the 11th Foot Regiment in 1857 during the infamous arsenic bread poisoning of 1857, later returning to England with the above painting. Notes: Fine Asian Paintings
