An Early 20th Century Spinel, Natural Pearl and Diamond Pendant/Brooch, Circa 1910


Of openwork garland design, the antique cushion-shaped blue spinel weighing 9.83 carats, within an old brilliant-cut diamond surround, suspending a drop-shaped natural pearl, measuring 10.9-8.1mm, with a single-cut diamond surmount, completed by a modern trace-link chain, diamonds approximately 1.10 carats total, chain detachable to become a brooch, lengths: chain 40.7cm, brooch 5.6cm, cased by the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd., 112 Regent St. London, by appointment to H.M. the King
|Accompanied by a SSEF report stating that the natural spinel has no indications of heat treatment and originates from Ceylon (Sri Lanka).
