|The first seventeen volumes, devoted to mammals, of the Dutch quarto edition of Buffon's Natural History published by Schneider in Amsterdam. There followed a long delay before the final volume on mammals published in Dordrecht in 1793, the remainder of the set not appearing until between 1801 and 1807.
