此件藏品为精品剔红器，器型为桶圆形，盒盖平顶，子母口，子母扣合紧密。盒身整体髹朱漆，柔美包浆满工花卉纹剔红盖盒，精剔花卉缠枝纹，叶瓣层次分明，工美料佳。雕漆品种之一，又名“雕红漆”或“红雕漆”此技法成熟于宋元时期，发展于明清两代。
