|简介：梅调鼎，字友竹，号赧翁，晚清慈溪县城（今属宁波市江北区）人。年轻时曾补博士弟子员，后因书法不中程见黜，不得与省试，从此发愤习书，绝意仕进，以布衣终其一生。《回风堂集》谓其“于古人书无所不学，少日专致力于二王；中年以往参酌南北，归乎恬适；晚年益浑浑有拙致入化境”。自言“用笔之妙，舍能圆能断外，无他道”。
