18th C English "Glass Intaglio Gem" in Yellow Gold Ring unmarked; the thick clear lead-crystal glass paste most probably from the Georgian glass works of James Tassie (1735–1799); with Hercules, his club & Lion Skin seated before a nude woman (Alcestis?) in deep intaglio. Total weight 16.2 grams. US ring size 8 3/4. Light age related wear to surface of glass.
